Homemade cat scratchy tree thingy.
For Christmas I decided that the cats needed a new cat scratchy tree thingy. Their’s was falling apart and I’d already re-covered it in carpet which then got shredded in to tiny pieces all over the floor.
I had a good look on line and at 50 quid decided we couldn’t really afford a decent one and my Pops gave me an idea to transform an old pair of speakers he gave me years ago into a new one.
I bought some new posts, bolts and felt on Amazon. Total cost = £23.74
What I needed:
2 speakers
Bed from old cat tree
Sticky back felt
4 scratching posts with boltsPliers
Scissors
Drill
Tape measure
Staple remover
I cut the wires really short inside and removed all the sponge which was stapled in and then drilled the holes to bolt the posts in to. I then covered the inside and outside with the stick-on felt.
