Emma Shepherd, RVN, ISFM CertFN
From a very young age I have had a love and fascination with animals. There was always a family cat and then I got my first goldfish when I was 10 years old. I have, since then, shared my home with hamsters, cats, rabbits, chickens, fish, a lobster, aquatic frogs, guinea pigs and snails.
Veterinary nursing was the logical career path for me to take and I qualified in 1994. I am a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) with an International Society in Feline Medicine’s certificate in feline nursing and I worked in various small animal practices for many years. My main interests in practice were feline medicine and behaviour, theatre work, intensive care and radiography. I am currently not in practice but hope to return one day. I complete a number of hours of CPD per year to keep up to date with the latest in nursing techniques and animal husbandry, to keep my RVN status and stay on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon’s register.
I have 6 cats of my own, 4 chickens, 3 rabbits, 2 snails and various fish and a very understanding husband. My entire life revolves around loving and caring for my pets and your’s.
I am fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary.
I take the security of your home very seriously, so will never disclose that you are away from home and I keep all keys securely.
